Decorative ceiling for an open-ceiling office interior — HeadHunter project 21 May 2026

Last year, we already shared how Paper Design® decorative ceiling systems help delicately integrate engineering systems into interior architecture, transforming technical elements into part of the overall design composition. Today, we are pleased to present another example of how a ceiling system can simultaneously solve both aesthetic and functional challenges within a modern office environment.

For the HeadHunter office project, designed by Ekaterina Fadeeva Studio, we implemented a textured snow-white Drop Stripe® slatted ceiling system.

The office ceiling was created using non-woven non-combustible Drop Paper® 60 g/m² material and suspended on a cable tension system through eyelets. This solution provides an exceptionally lightweight structure, easy maintenance access to overhead engineering systems, and broad possibilities for creating expressive architectural ceiling rhythms.

We work with an extremely lightweight architectural material which, due to its thinness and near weightlessness, does not create the feeling of a heavy suspended structure overhead. Unlike heavier textile alternatives or stretch ceiling fabrics, architectural paper allows the ceiling composition to maintain its visual lightness, sculptural rhythm, and refined architectural appearance as a true art object within the space.

By adjusting the wave frequency and slat density, the composition can appear either more dynamic and visually rich or light and airy.

One of the key priorities in this project was the careful integration of visible engineering elements. Even the exposed sprinklers work harmoniously within the ceiling composition. Thanks to the correctly selected color palette and clean visual detailing, the fire protection elements become part of the architectural rhythm rather than visual distractions.

This is exactly why the design of decorative ceilings should always consider in advance:

  • the color of engineering equipment,
  • the positioning of communications,
  • lighting scenarios,
  • and the primary viewing angles within the space.

Such an approach allows technical systems not simply to be hidden, but transformed into part of a cohesive architectural identity.

A practical approach to office ceiling decoration helps simultaneously solve questions of aesthetics, functionality, and comfort. The ceiling system becomes not only a decorative feature, but also a tool for shaping a contemporary working atmosphere — lightweight, elegant, and carefully considered in every detail.

Paper Design® decorative ceilings represent architecture where aesthetics and engineering work together.
