How do you make an exhibition stand visible in a crowded exhibition hall?
For the Glass Decor stand at PRODEXPO 2026, Paper Design® brought to life the Cloud Canopy concept developed by Interform Expo—a large-scale architectural installation inspired by the silhouette of a fantasy tree.
Suspended seven metres above the floor, the luminous canopy immediately became the visual landmark of the stand. Composed of Wave Ceiling® vertical lamellas reaching up to 1,700 mm in height, the installation could be recognised from almost anywhere in the pavilion, giving the exhibition space a memorable architectural identity.
Rather than illuminating the stand, light became part of the architecture itself.
The soft, diffused glow results from the combination of integrated wide-beam luminaires, the translucent properties of Drop Paper®, and a carefully engineered lighting scheme. Together, these elements create a uniform luminous volume instead of individual light sources.
Invisible engineering
The installation is supported by a concealed suspension system based on curved aluminium profiles fixed directly to a gypsum fibre substructure.
This engineering solution eliminates visible suspension elements while allowing smooth flowing curves and precise geometry.
The structure disappears from view, leaving only light, volume and sculptural form.
Designed to be seen
In today's exhibition environment, visibility is one of the most valuable design tools.
The certified fire-rated Drop Paper® material (Fire safety certification M1) makes it possible to create illuminated architectural installations that remain visible even from the opposite side of a large exhibition hall.
Beyond aesthetics, the installation becomes a navigation point, strengthens brand identity and reinforces the overall exhibition concept.
One material — endless possibilities
Drop Paper® offers architects and exhibition designers exceptional creative freedom:
More than a finishing material, Drop Paper® becomes an architectural medium for creating memorable spatial experiences.
