Floating Ceiling at BORA Restaurant 13 February 2026

Today we are sharing photos of a project in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk created by Pergaev Bureau. The interior of the “Bora” restaurant at the Azimut Hotel is enhanced by our cloud-like ceiling made of  Drop Paper® nonwoven material.

The interior concept is inspired by the island’s identity and its harsh climate, reflecting powerful natural imagery. The floating, weightless Wave Ceiling® elements, illuminated with LED strips, amplify the sense of majestic northern beauty.

The restaurant’s three decorative zones are designed with lamellas of varying heights — 300–1300 mm, 275–1300 mm, and 525–1275 mm — arranged along the smooth geometry of an aluminum profile. The dynamic wave pattern becomes a reflection of nature’s picturesque, organic asymmetry.

The flexibility of the suspension system allows for virtually any shape, enabling the realization of the boldest design ideas. May the New Year bring even more beauty and refined solutions — and the Paper Design® team will be delighted to become your reliable partner in bringing them to life.
