Wave Ceiling at Mayrveda Health Resort, Kislovodsk 02 March 2021

In the serene atmosphere of the Mayrveda Health Resort in Kislovodsk, Russia, Paper Design® introduces a new dimension of architectural emotion — the Wave Ceiling, crafted from non-flammable architectural paper.

This installation marks a natural evolution of our work — from hotels and galleries to wellness spaces, where architecture meets the language of renewal, balance, and the quiet rhythm of nature.

You can almost feel it — the air, the breathing of the forest, the flow of light across soft forms. The ceiling seems alive, gently guiding the eye and the senses into a state of calm presence.

Each lamella of the Wave system is shaped and finished by hand, creating a soft choreography of light and shadow. Installed across 35.5 m² with varying lamella heights from 320 to 430 mm, the ceiling becomes an organic sculpture that transforms the entire hall into an experience — not just a space.

Designed and produced by Paper Design®, this ceiling reinterprets the dialogue between lightness, material, and atmosphere — ideal for wellness resorts, spas, hospitality interiors, and even modern corporate environments seeking tranquility and elegance.

We thank Angelika Zalivina and Elena Chichkanova of Investicii Zapad LLC for their vision and trust in bringing this project to life.

The Wave Ceiling invites both designers and guests to pause, breathe, and rediscover the essential — the beauty of stillness and natural movement.
