Honeycomb kinetic® — A new type of living ceiling 16 April 2026

We present a new type of living kinetic ceiling — Honeycomb kinetic®. Unlike kinetic ceilings with parallel vertical lamellas, such as the Drop Stripe® system, the honeycomb structure of  Honeycomb kinetic® creates the effect of a continuous decorative form performing smooth, wave-like movements.

Because the honeycomb cells are interconnected, the decorative ceiling volume rises and descends as a single mass, reminiscent of ocean waves or cumulus clouds.

A living ceiling system is an innovative way to create a distinctive atmosphere for exhibition stands, office spaces, hotel lobbies, and restaurants. The ability to adjust the rhythm of movement provides the key to creating different scenarios, which can be combined with lighting and music to achieve a stronger emotional effect.

Honeycomb kinetic® is available in the base color white (RAL 9010). Other colors are available upon additional approval. The recommended height of the honeycomb lamellas ranges from 200 to 500 mm. The minimum total height of the decorative honeycomb ceiling, including the structural system and 200 mm lamellas, is 857 mm. The maximum total height is 1157 mm.

The system is ideally suited for decorating corridor areas as well as spaces with rectangular or square layouts. Honeycomb kinetic® can also function as a standalone central feature or a localized decorative element in large spaces such as recreational areas, hotel lobbies, atriums, and concert halls.

Original contemporary solutions in kinetic design represent a future that has already arrived. Living, moving forms are simple in structure yet truly impressive in interior spaces. Don’t be afraid to keep pace with the times together with Paper Design®.
